If you did not pass your IPPT, you are required to attend NS FIT — 10 mandatory fitness sessions before you can re-attempt the test. This tracker helps you log every session, stay on schedule, and know exactly when you are eligible to book your IPPT again. Once done, use our free IPPT Calculator to check if you are ready before re-testing.
What Is NS FIT?
NS FIT (National Service Fitness Improvement Training) is a mandatory fitness programme administered by MINDEF for NSmen and NSFs who fail their IPPT. It is not a punishment — it is a structured training programme designed to help you improve your fitness across all three IPPT stations: push-ups, sit-ups, and the 2.4km run.
The programme consists of 10 supervised training sessions conducted at Fitness Conditioning Centres (FCCs) across Singapore. You must complete all 10 sessions before you are allowed to re-attempt your IPPT within your current window.
Who Is Required to Attend NS FIT?
NSmen (Reservists)
If you score below 51 points or fail to earn at least 1 point in any station during your annual IPPT window, NS FIT is mandatory before your next attempt.
Mandatory on FailNSFs (Full-Time NS)
Full-time NSFs who fail their IPPT during the service period are required to attend NS FIT sessions as directed by their unit before the next scheduled test.
Mandatory on FailPre-Enlistees
Pre-enlistees do not attend NS FIT. If you fail your Pre-Enlistee IPPT (PE-IPPT), you simply miss out on the 8-week PTP reduction benefit — NS FIT does not apply.
Not RequiredFemale Servicewomen
Female participants who fail IPPT follow the same NS FIT requirement. The sessions use modified benchmarks aligned to female IPPT scoring standards.
